The way social media channels use, share and prioritise content in 2024 looks wildly different to even a year ago. Channels such as Instagram and TikTok are changing at an unprecedented rate and staying up to date can be hard for even the most agile marketer !

My “state of play” social media masterclass events are designed to give you everything you need to know about the channels today, where they’re headed, and how you can design or adjust your social media strategy to make the most of the current opportunities posed.

This September I’ll be holding a one-hour masterclass which will cover current social media marketing trends, the factors behind each channel’s algorithms, tactics that are helping accounts to grow and what’s coming up in the next 6 months for each channel.

  • They key algorithm ranking factors for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube and each of their sub channels (Reels, Explore, FYP, Shorts etc.)

  • If social media channels are becoming search engines and how to harness this

  • Examples of the “perfect” post across channels, depending on your strategy goal (growth, retention, sales, brand awareness etc.)

  • New features just released or coming soon to Instagram and TikTok

  • The latest stats on user behaviour, demographic and advertising reach for each platform

  • Trends and tips on what content currently works across platforms for a variety of use cases (creators, brands, businesses etc.)

Here are some commonly asked questions about the masterclass.

 

Why do I need to buy a ticket?

If you follow me on Instagram you’ll know that I share marketing tips freely. However masterclasses are carefully prepared and take hours of work to ensure the content is relevant, interesting and will give those attending an edge over other marketers or business owners. Buying a ticket helps cover some of the hours I spend preparing this material, as well as contributing towards the subscriptions and studies I procure to inform the report with the very latest data. This is at a fraction of the cost of working with me one-on-one, and you get the recording to rewatch afterwards.

Who is this event for?

This is for anyone who works in marketing or social media. You may be a fellow marketer, a business owner, a social media manager or just curious!

When is it?

Monday 30th September at 12pm BST. The event will be one-hour on Zoom, with the chance for Q&A. 

I’m also a marketer - can I attend?

Of course! I find this type of masterclass to be a great refresher where you can see things from a new or different perspective, even if you’re already a marketing expert yourself. Social media changes rapidly and it can be difficult to keep up so my masterclasses are designed to do some of the hard work for you.

Which social media channels will you cover?

This masterclass is focused on what I currently identify as the “big four” social media channels: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook. This is based on factors such as the demographic, reach and engagement of each channel’s audience, growth and how “relevant” the channel is to businesses, brands and individuals today. I may mention other channels briefly, but they will not be covered in-depth.

Will there be a replay or recording? 

Everyone who buys a ticket will be sent the recording, including Q&A, within 48 hours of the event.
